Rocket Launchpad Partners with TezID

We are thrilled to officially announce we are partnering with TezID. We love their KYC proof’s concept and feel that the best way forward is to work with a peer startup and grow together.

Building an IDO platform comes with many many moving and complicated parts. That is why we were so excited when we discovered TezID and their goal to bring KYC proofs straight to the Tezos blockchain.

In Q1 2022, we plan to start utilizing TezID proofs as our sole source of KYC for Tezos based IDO launches. No longer will you have to KYC on every Tezos based platform requiring KYC. Use TezID and your KYC is linked to your XTZ address. This means users can come to our platform pre-KYCed! TezID has already completed passport proofs and plans to have full KYC proofs ready by Q1 2022. At that time we will begin full integration with TezID.

What about a $IDZ token sale?! Stay tuned! We will be releasing more information about that in the coming days. 😎

What does this mean for users leading up to Q1 2022?

Thanks to all who showed up on launch day to show support of the final $RCKT token sale. Although it was an amazing time, the entire Tezos community still felt the pain of the less than ideal Granada upgrade. Issues with transactions not getting picked up or long block times left many of you with questions and the Rocket team trying everything we could to smooth things out. We truly thank you for your patience during that time!

As for our KYC process, those of you that began the KYC process early in anticipation of a frenzy of a sale may have had some difficulty completing the process and had to have some direct help from onebalddude. He alone has helped over 100 individuals complete the KYC process. Despite all of these roadblocks, we decided against postponing the sale due to strict deadlines and planned project launches (and TBH we just really want to play Gif.Games). Plus, we know you all have been patiently waiting to get ahold of those $RCKT tokens.

What does this mean going forward? With the issues surrounding the KYC process and the announcement of a partnership with TezID, we are making some changes that we believe everyone will appreciate. We envisioned a smoother KYC process for ourselves and our users and therefore we are moving to a region IP block for countries that are not allowed to participate in the $RCKT token sale until TezID has their fully KYC proofs ready to go.

For the remainder of the RCKT token sale, and future IDOs, we will be operating a regional IP block for countries that cannot participate. All users can access our site, but the swap button will be disabled for individuals from a countries outlined below:

Afghanistan, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Chad, China, Congo, Congo (Democratic Republic), Cuba, Eritrea, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Nicaragua, North Korea, Pakistan, Somalia, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan, Uganda, United States, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Virgin Islands (U.S.), Yemen, Zimbabwe.

We know this is a change coming out of left field, but we hope everyone understands and enjoys the streamlined approach. We truly appreciate everyone's patience and the strong community we are building.
